Brandon Huckaby represents District 3 on the Knox County Commission, serving the Amherst, Ball Camp, Cedar Bluff, and surrounding West Knoxville communities.
A native East Tennessean, Brandon was born and raised in Jacksboro before moving to Knox County and attending Hardin Valley Academy, studying business, law, and public affairs. The oldest of five children and raised in a working-class family, his experiences growing up shaped his belief in hard work, opportunity, and the importance of strong communities.
Brandon began his career in the restaurant industry, eventually training and leading teams across Tennessee and Kentucky. After returning to Knoxville, he transitioned into financial services and banking. Today, he works in mortgage lending, helping individuals and families navigate homeownership and financial decisions. He is a Certified Community Lender™ and specializes in VA, reverse, and divorce mortgage lending.
Long before joining County Commission, Brandon was actively involved in civic and nonprofit organizations throughout Knox County. He serves as President of Keep Knoxville Beautiful and has held leadership and volunteer roles with organizations focused on environmental stewardship, housing and economic development, the arts, and community service.
Brandon was elected to the Knox County Commission in August 2026 and began his first term in September. He believes local government works best when it is accessible, transparent, and focused on the everyday issues that directly affect residents.
Brandon lives in the Amherst area with his husband, Sky, and their pets, Sophie, Prince, and Cash Money.
