I object to changing the time for Finance Committee to meet. The Event Calendar still lists the time as 2PM. The new time conflicts directly with the Office of Housing Stability meeting. How are commissioners supposed to be involved in overseeing OHS, when we now are directly conflicted with the OHS meeting? I attended the last OHS meeting. Please return the time to 2 PM.

I am personally able to make either time work.
The Finance Committee meeting time has been on the annual 2025 calendar provided before the year even started. The Knox County public that we service is comprised of residents who might need to request time off from work well in advance of the time needed off should they wish to attend our meetings. I believe that adding and changing dates and times with less than a 30 day notice to the public except in extreme emergencies is a disservice to the public that we are elected to serve.
I prefer to keep the original publicly announced time intact. Thank you.

The meeting schedule always states thing could be adjusted as needed – and every committee fluctuates at times. Everyone works hard not to move things around, but sometimes it is necessary.

This month, there is a considerable amount of content to discuss and review at the finance committee, and with the 3:00pm Agenda Review meeting already set, more time is needed.

The content and documents will be uploaded for your review in advance. Attend as you are able.

          Commissioner Jay
          Chair, Finance Committee
