Doing last minute preparation, and I am going to make a motion to defer this to next month. This change to Knox County Codes is related to a federal grant, which has certain requirements attached to it. I want an opportunity to learn more about the grant. Also I am concerned about the novel interpretation the federal government has undertaken with respect to sex discrimination under Title IX. There is currently a lawsuit filed in United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee by the State of Tennessee and 17 other states against the national government regarding this issue. I want to make sure there are no conflicts.
