Ms. Caruthers has circulated a deceptive email about me previously, and referenced it again in a recent email criticizing Commissioner Jay. I’m responding on this forum in an abundance of caution due to sunshine laws. I did not call all my constituents “Karens,” and her phrasing is misleading. Last summer on Compass Colloquy I labeled a few people who live in the 9th District “Karens,” because they were complaining about the nightly fireworks at the new baseball stadium, after less than a week of its opening as I recall. She conveniently left out the context as well.
